I’ve always been an ‘arty’ person and a believer in creative activities being a great way to come together to connect with one another.

Throughout my Occupational Therapy career, I’ve used and seen the therapeutic benefits of getting people creating. It’s such a joy to see people growing in confidence, recognising their own abilities, talents and feeling good about themselves.

It’s something I’ve really enjoyed being part of and I’m thrilled to have the chance now to use my skills to bring creative opportunities to people in my local community and beyond.

I’ve loved meeting all the lovely people who have attended my sessions and popped by! Its always a pleasure to design and host sessions which are meaningful and fun for everyone. Listening to what people want and need is important to me and I will strive to offer opportunities which are of interest, accessible, inclusive, affordable to those who want to take part.

I’m so looking forward hosting lots more fab sessions this year.

Come join me to ‘Feel Better and Create More

Best wishes

Why Sandpiper Arts?

The beach has always been my happy place, a place to relax, play, marvel at natures wonders and watch the antics of the many seabirds. All have their merits but it’s the little Sandpiper that warms my heart… I just adore this little seabird’s resilience, resourcefulness, and sense of community!

You’ll see a wee flock of 20 or so of them dashing in of the foamy waves in unison, working together to find a taste wee morsel for their tea… they’re also kinda cute! … Check out the sweet short Pixar animation ‘Piper’ it tells the tale of the little Sandpiper chick ‘Piper’ and for me sums up everything about community and resilience.

So a wee Sandpiper just had to be my mascot, a constant companion in this brave and colourful next chapter of my life 😊
